After the PhD
The PhD programme in Biomolecular and Pharmaceutical Sciences provides interdisciplinary training at the interface between molecular biology and biochemistry and pharmaceutical sciences, delivered through an in-depth research project supplemented by specific training modules in computational and experimental methods. This is made possible by supervisors/tutors belonging to five different departments:
Department of Chemistry
Department Life Sciences and Systems Biology
Department of Molecular Biotechnology and Health Sciences
Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology
Department of Public Health and Pediatrics
A major aim of the PhD program is for the early stage researchers “employability” after the three-year research period either in academia or industry. Within the program there are a considerable number of collaborations with industry that the doctoral students can take advantage of and that can lead to future integration into the world of research and/or industrial development.
